Our world is important for so many reasons, not only for the fact that without it, we as a species would not exist. As such we need to work on preserving it and keeping it safe for future generations.

ReGrind – The Art Of Board
ReGrind make some cool furniture from old skateboards. Ranging from mirrors to coffee tables these are great relics for old and young skaters alike.

Flat Futures (Digital Papers)
If only this were real! Flat futures, the MA project of Miquel Mora, shows how digital paper could be interacted with in order to provide meaning to the user. One of his examples shows a paper alarm clock which switches off when it is scrunched up. My favorite though is the memory envelope (via CR Blog) which shows the recipient where the letter has travelled on it’s way to them via gprs.
Citizen:Citizen
Citizen:Citizen is an art concept/store created by Ju$t Another Rich Kid (Ken Courtney) and Tobias Wong. The website an experience unto itself. You, as the user are left to explore it’s vastness in a non-linear way, encountering many images and feelings before even seeing a product.
Wallspankers
Everyone loves stickers! Wallspankers is a free quarterly zine with hundreds of stickers that you can print off yourself. Issue four, the summer edition is out now. So go and grab yourself some free art to decorate your space with.
Readymech
Those of you who read Wired magazine may have already seen this but I think it’s worthy of a re-post. Readymech are a series of flat-pack cardboard toys ready for you to download and build for free. There are some really great designs there by artists such as Dro and Jules and the whole series is brought to you by the wonderful designers over at Fwis.
Candy Issue 8
Candy Issue 8 is out and it’s their second birthday! This issue is the no theme issue. Filled with goodness from Jeremyville, Tiffany Bozic, The Designers Republic among many others.

Blog Action Day
So this is quite a good idea, Blog Action Day invites blogs worldwide to unite and blog about one important issue on October 15th, 2007. I think this is a great way to raise the profile of world issues and the reach of this could be phenomenal. With some big names in the blog world like lifehacker among others (it was a big damned list and I couldn’t be bothered scanning it all to find another big name blog, but they’re in there!) this has the potential to be very big. Needless to say this blog will be participating, and if any of you guys have blogs then it’d be cool if you did too!
