The Graveyard

The Graveyard

The graveyard is a high-concept game by indie developers Tale of Tales in which you take control of an elderly lady and guide her through a graveyard. Once you have reached the chapel you may sit on the seat. The game ends when you leave the graveyard. It’s an interesting concept which really succeeds in creating a mood of quiet contemplation. You can also buy a full version of the game for $5USD which introduces the possibility of death to the game.

FluidTunes

Fluidtunes

FluidTunes is an amazing application for MacOS X which allows you to control your iTunes music via hand gestures and a camera. It really has to be seen to be believed, luckily you can check out a video of it in action on their site. Did I mention it’s free too?

Brick

Brick is an interesting multi-touch interface created by Jordan Hochenbaum and Owen Vallis.

Word Clock

Word Clock

Word Clock is a typographical way of telling time by Simon Heys. Nice concept and you can download it as a screensaver too!

Papervision: Augmented Reality

Boffswana

Damn, this is pretty cool. Using the powers of Papervision the talented folk at Boffswana have produced an Augmented Reality. You can even play with it yourself if you print using a specialised symbol and your webcam.

Ringo

Ringo (on Vimeo) is a really neat interface concept by Ivan Tihienko.

Touchgrind

Touchgrind by Illusion Labs is making it’s way to your iPhone soon. Making use of the iPhone’s multi-touch interface along with real physics makes this game an innovative player in the iPhone marketplace. Check out the video to see it in action.

Art Futura

Art Futura is a Spanish art festival exploring new media, interactive design, video games and digital animation. Unfortunately it’s over for this year, however you can still check out some of the amazing work displayed.

Play/Create

Play/Create is the digital toy box of award winning designer Daniel Brown. There are some interesting experiments with audio and visual (shockwave player required).

Navigaya

Navigaya is interesting to say the least. It appears to be a browser (inside your browser!) based in Flash. You can view their selected news items or search multiple search engines, all the while with a music video playing in the background. Websites actually open within the application which is really well put together. I’m not sure how useful it is but it sure is pretty.
