typo/graphic posters is (as the name suggests) a great resource for checking out all the fresh new posters from loads of different designers. Brilliant source of inspiration.

FluidTunes is an amazing application for MacOS X which allows you to control your iTunes music via hand gestures and a camera. It really has to be seen to be believed, luckily you can check out a video of it in action on their site. Did I mention it’s free too?

Jeff Soto’s work is a wild mix of hip-hop, skateboarding, pop-culture and graff. Check it out!

Are you an executard? Need to take a faceabbatical? No idea what these words mean. Then Addictionary is the place to go. Packed full of words only the internet could produce, you can look up anything and even add your own words. It’s pretty too!

Word Clock is a typographical way of telling time by Simon Heys. Nice concept and you can download it as a screensaver too!

It’s a sad day when decent design blogs die and Pingmag was one of the best of them. Brilliantly written stories covering the fields of art, design, architecture, fashion and many other categories all with a Japanese twist were what made Pingmag so special. Hopefully the site stays up so you can browse the archives (which I highly suggest doing). Farewell Pingmag.

I Took Photos is a nice little photo blog depicting images of suburban and rural Australia.

Having finally made it back to the land of Oz, I’m up and running with a seemingly decent (albeit slightly slow) internet connection. Posting will resume shortly although might be a bit slower than last year whilst I get myself set up here in Australia.
Interestingly while I’ve been gone Hip.Young.Thing. has been nominated as a finalist in the 2008 Weblog Awards in the Best Hidden Gem category. It would be awesome if you could all get over there and vote for us!
I hope you’ve all had a great Xmas and New Year and thanks once again for supporting Hip.Young.Thing.
Peace.

Props to Wolfiewolf for the photo.
Damn, this is pretty cool. Using the powers of Papervision the talented folk at Boffswana have produced an Augmented Reality. You can even play with it yourself if you print using a specialised symbol and your webcam.
